Liaison Committee

Since the start of the the Saint-Jean project, the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux wished to created a liaison committee to integrate its residents' requests.

Decree 77-2017 of the Council of Ministers, file in February 2017, established some conditions to which Hydro-Québec must comply, one of which was the creation of this committee.

"Hydro-Québec must set up a liaison committee before work begins. Its role will include collecting and processing complaints from the public, making recommendations for use, including landscaping, and making public the register of noise complaints and the results of follow-up reports. The committee must also provide a communication plan so that citizens can provide feedback, if necessary. [...] The committee shall be composed of residents as well as representatives of the City of Dollard-Des-Ormeaux and Hydro-Québec." - GAZETTE OFFICIELLE DU QUÉBEC, March 1, 2017, 149th year, #9, p.397, translated October 10, 2019.

The Liaison Committee was formed. Its members met 15 times to date. The Committee presented its recommendations during the public information session on October 15, 2018. It continues to meet while the work is in progress.
