December 9, 2014

Resolution unanimously adopted by the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, citing that it "will accept nothing less than the construction of an underground supply line between the des Sources and Saint-Jean substations ".

October 5, 2015

Hydro-Québec submits an application to the Régie de l'énergie for the construction of the new 315-25-kV Saint-Jean substation and its 315 kV supply line.

January 29, 2016

The Régie de l'énergie authorizes the Saint-Jean project as a whole.

March 30, 2016

A public information session was held by the Bureau d'audiences publiques sur l'environnement (BAPE).

April 20 and 21, 2016

February 8, 2017

Decree 77-2017 of the Council of Ministers authorizing the implementation of the Saint-Jean project, with conditions. In its decision, the government requested the creation of a Liaison Committee composed of representatives of Hydro-Québec and the City of Dollard-Des-Ormeaux to improve the project. The committee met about fifteen times. Discussions focused on the configuration of the future substation to maintain a buffer zone between the substation and residents' properties, the type and number of towers in the right-of-way and their positioning in the line right-of-way, and landscaping in the hydroelectric corridor.
