Home renovation grant

The City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, as part of an agreement it signed with the Société d’habitation du Québec, invites residents to take advantage of a grant program to improve dwellings. This program aim to support the efforts of citizens who, because of their disability, must have work done to adapt their homes.

Eligibility for this program is evaluated according to specific criteria.

Residential Adaptation Assisted Program

The program is geared towards handicapped persons living in a dwelling that must be modified or adapted as a result of their handicap. Work authorized within this program must help people maintain their autonomy in their daily activities.

The amount of the subsidy varies, that is to say for an owner-household dwelling, it can reach $16,000 and for a lease-household dwelling, $8,000 ($4,000 for a lease-household room rental).

Persons that are restricted in their daily activities by their handicap can benefit from this subsidy. To apply, a form "Provisory Financial Help" is available at your local CLSC.

You can find further information on the website of the Société d'habitation du Québec.

Subsidy Programs

There are currently NO renovation, assistance for buildings damages by pyrite, emergency repair or energy efficiency subsidy programs offered by the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux.
