  • Daily posts are appearing on the library’s Facebook and Instagram pages to promote library services, reading suggestions, etc.
  • A large database of providers of online tools, such as Ancestry for genealogy, TumblePress for kids, Rosetta Stone for language learning, and Audio Book Cloud for novels.
  • Several services were put in place on the library’s web pages :
    • Registration form for temporary membership
    • Temporary renewals for expired membership
    • Automatic renewals of documents out on loan
    • Loans by appointment
    • Book drop open on weekdays (Door 5)
    • Personalised reading suggestions
    • Online story times with an animator
    • Additional links in the homework help section
    • Assistance in the use of our online resources
    • Daily monitoring and answering of the bibliotheque@ddo.qc.ca inbox.

Seniors Club

  • Launching of a Facebook page for club members to help everyone stay in touch.
  • The Senior Club’s website has been updated to include information on COVID-19, important phone numbers, and links to webinars of interest for seniors.

Dollard Centre for the Arts

The Centre is offering a wide selection of weekly online courses:

  • 5 different art courses are available to adults
  • Piano and guitar lessons
  • Theater courses for children, teens and adults
  • Dance courses for children and for adults 55+
  • Free of charge are 2 Online Youth Workshop Series tailored to 5 to 12 years olds and 12 years and up
