Accounts Payable and Taxation Clerk

Job Description

Reporting to the Division Head, Financial Analysis and Budget Planning, the accounts payable and taxation clerk will perform work related to billing, the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, journal entries, and the production of accounts payable cheques. The incumbent will also support the processing of certified valuation rolls and deeds of sale.

Qualifications required

Profile

 

  • Hold a secondary school certificate and have completed 10 to 30 accounting credits
  • Have two years of experience in work that enabled the incumbent to become familiar with the field of employment
  • Be bilingual, spoken and written French and English

 

Knowledge

 

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Mathematics

 

Skills and aptitudes

 

  • Able to perform analyses
  • Proven tact and civility
  • Able to adapt to new computer tools

Employment status

  • Temporary six-month position
  • 35-hour week, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • The 2022 salary range is $48,558.96 to $65,267.60, based on the collective agreement in effect.
