Exceptional Closures During the Weekend of January 31
The ministère des Transports advises road users that exceptional closures will be required in the area of Highway 13 and 40 interchanges on the weekend of January 31 to February 3.
The overpass on southbound Highway 13 will be dismantled, which will require, among other things, the complete closure of Highway 40 and its service lanes in both directions for the entire weekend.
CLOSURES AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
Highway 13 southbound
- Complete closure between Exit #6 - A-40 / Quebec / Ottawa / Gatineau and the entrance from Highway 40 eastbound, from Friday, January 31, 11:00 p.m. to Monday, February 3, 5:00 a.m.
Highway 40 and service lanes in both directions
- Complete closure in the interchange area from Friday, January 31, 11 p.m. to Monday, February 3, 5 a.m.
Detours will be marked by temporary signage. However, road users will be asked to avoid the area and use other routes, such as Highways 20 and 30 on the South Shore, or Highway 15 (Décarie and The Laurentian) and Highways 440 or 640. Congestion is to be expected.
In the event of unfavourable weather conditions or operational constraints, this work could be postponed or cancelled.
In order to properly plan your trips, find out about current and future closures by consulting Québec 511. This project is included in the 2019-2021 road investment list for the Montréal region (French only). The Ministère thanks road users for their cooperation. For the safety of road users and workers, it is essential that existing signage be respected.
