Public notice: the presence of lead in the City's water is unlikely
In accordance with the Regulation respecting the quality of drinking water, the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux conducts random annual sampling for the presence of lead in the water.
For the past 7 years, the City has been testing for lead in water in various homes. All results were within provincial standards with respect to the quality of drinking water. In addition, we never found a lead service pipe in any of the homes we have tested.
For information, the probability of the presence of lead service pipes is low. At the beginning of the City's development, the by-law in force in 1962 required the installation of copper pipes.
