City and schools work together during health crisis
Since September 2020, an agreement has been in place between the City and some schools located in its territory to help schools implement the government's back-to-school measures. The City has allowed schools to use the nearby park for recreation, physical education classes and other needs. This allows children to play outdoors while respecting the maintenance of the same stable class group and distance between groups.
There is therefore a higher than normal traffic in the following parks during the school year from September to June on weekdays between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.
- Please note that every year during the school year, Oslo Park adjacent to École Dollard-des-Ormeaux and the adjacent sports facilities of École secondaire Des Sources (tennis, basketball, soccer and baseball fields) are reserved exclusively for the use of these schools during the school year.
- For these parks, citizens may access them for personal recreation after hours only.
- Please note that for this year (2021) Spring Garden Park adjacent to École primaire Bois-de-Liesse and Terry Fox Park adjacent to École primaire Westpark are reserved in part for the use of these schools during the school year.
- For these parks, citizens may access them for personal recreation when the facility is vacant only. We ask for your cooperation in
keeping a distance of more than 2 metres from the school groups if you are ever there at the same time.
