INFO – COVID-19: Mayor's message for residents coming back from abroad

To all residents returning from abroad,

I would like to welcome you home and begin by reassuring you that your City is being proactive about taking all the appropriate measures necessary to contain the spread of COVID-19. We are closely monitoring the evolving situation and are basing our actions and decisions on recommendations made from the Quebec government and health authorities.

Throughout the week, the daily announcements have been made by all levels of governments regarding directives and measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.

I am calling upon all residents who are returning from abroad, including those returning from Florida, to isolate themselves for a period of 14 days as stated in the directives of the provincial government https://www.quebec.ca/en/health/health-issues/a-z/2019-coronavirus/instructions-directives/.

In light of this crisis and the potential effects of this virus we ask all residents to be responsible citizens and to comply with the directives put in place by authorities to ensure the containment of this pandemic.

Please help us keep our community safe!

I thank you for your cooperation and encourage you all to stay connected.

Your Mayor,

Alex Bottausci
