Snow Removal and Involuntary Violations

Don’t forget: certain snow removal actions are considered violations of the municipal bylaw.

  • Accumulating snow in such a way that it obstructs the visibility of drivers, on private land or on public property.
  • Throwing, pushing or blowing snow in any way on any public property or on the public right-of-way, as well as in a radius of one (1) metre of a fire hydrant.
  • Transporting, pushing or depositing snow originating from a driveway, walkway or parking lot on the opposite side of a public road.
  • Hiring a snow removal contractor who does not have a valid permit issued by the City for the current year.
