Watering ban in force until further notice
Due to work being executed by the City of Montreal at the Pierrefonds water treatment plant, to high water demand observed over the last few days and expected heat wave, the City of Montreal requests that lawn watering be prohibited until further notice.
Presently, consumption of drinking water is reaching the plant’s maximum capacity, primarily due to water being used to fill pools and for the use of sprinklers and hoses to water lawns. Small gestures, such as using a watering can to water your plants, will ensure a continuous and reliable supply of water.
Repair work at the Pierrefonds water treatment plant aims to complete its modernization and boost its capacity for the 2020 summer season.
We thank you for your cooperation.
