Redevelopment of Coolbrooke Park’s Sports Courts

The City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux is proud to announce the redevelopment of the sports courts at Coolbrooke Park, redesigned to better meet the needs of our residents. The former tennis court was fully resurfaced. New lines were painted for both tennis and pickleball, and two basketball hoops were added — transforming the area into a modern, inclusive, multi-sport space.

The upgrades have resulted in a smooth, safe playing surface with vibrant colours that enhance accessibility and user experience. Residents of all ages can now enjoy a variety of sports in one place — whether to stay active, connect with others, or simply enjoy the outdoors.

This initiative reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, strengthening social ties, and encouraging youth engagement. The goal is to provide high-quality recreational facilities that support health, well-being, and joy for the entire community.

“Investing in sports infrastructure means investing in our community’s well-being,” said Mayor Alex Bottausci. “These courts are more than just places to play — they’re spaces where friendships form, skills are developed, and healthy habits take root.”

To mark the occasion, City representatives placed two basketballs on the court — a symbolic invitation to come out and enjoy the new facilities all summer long. District 7 Councillor Ryan Brownstein, whose district is home to the park, emphasized the project’s impact: “Spaces like these offer our youth positive, constructive activities. They help build a stronger, more active, and more engaged community.”

The City invites all residents to come explore the newly redeveloped courts and take part in the growing culture of wellness and recreation here in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.
