This annual event highlights the importance of taking action to improve the social participation of people with disabilities and aims to recognize their full potential.<\/p><p><strong>In Dollard-des-Ormeaux, inclusion is reflected in concrete everyday actions.<\/strong> Through its services, facilities and initiatives, <strong>the City is committed to creating accessible environments and reducing barriers to participation for everyone:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Online:\u00a0<\/strong>Our website features a <a href=\"https:\/\/ville.ddo.qc.ca\/en\/live\/community-and-institutions\/people-with-disabilities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>dedicated page<\/strong> for people with disabilities<\/a>, bringing together <strong>resources, available services and useful information<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>Accessible recreation:\u00a0<\/strong>Among other things, we offer the <strong>free loan of an aquatic wheelchair<\/strong> to enjoy water play in our parks\u2019 splash pads, as well as a <strong>lugiglace<\/strong> \u2013 a skating aid to enjoy our arenas (see images below).<\/li><li><strong>Facilities designed for everyone:\u00a0<\/strong>Universal accessibility is integrated into new municipal buildings to ensure<strong> inclusive spaces starting from the design phase<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>Tailored support:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/ville.ddo.qc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/FORMULAIRE_ahesion_Registre_aout_2021__.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vulnerable and Disabled Persons Registry<\/a><\/strong> helps ensure better support, particularly in emergency situations.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f665b5c e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\"
