The City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux awarded the very first Key to the City to Mitch Trapid on June 2, 2026, in recognition of his outstanding commitment to the community.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This distinction highlights Mr. Trapid\u2019s remarkable contribution to the development of community life in Dollard-des-Ormeaux and aims to recognize individuals whose involvement has a lasting impact on the City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A volunteer and coach for nearly 30 years,<\/strong> Mr. Trapid has dedicated much of his life to the development of young athletes within the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also served as President of the Dollard Hockey Association (DHA) for 22 years, where he played a key role in promoting values such as respect, discipline, teamwork, and confidence among youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His community involvement is widely recognized for its consistency, selflessness, and positive impact on several generations of young people and families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, Mr. Trapid also signed the City\u2019s Golden Book, reserved for individuals who have made a significant contribution to civic life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux warmly thanks Mr. Trapid for his many years of service and pays tribute to his lasting contribution to the community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
