Board of Revisors
Main duties
Verify the information provided by electors that the chief electoral officer of Québec is unable to match. Receive the application filed by an elector and administer the oath. Review the application immediately or, as the case may be, have it reviewed. Make an inquiry, when necessary, by instructing the revising officers. Notify an elector, when necessary, summon one or more witnesses, when necessary. Make a justified and informed decision for every application.

Main duties
Enter in a computer system all requests for striking off, correction or entry to the electoral list and offer administrative and operational support to the members of the Board of Revisors.

Main duties
Serve notices of hearing and summonses (i.e. deliver directly to the persons concerned). Complete the minutes of service, as the case may be. Investigate, that is search for information requested by revisors, in particular about the electors not matched.

Receive the training required to act at any position of the Board of Revisors. Take the place of any officer of the Board who would be unable to act. Receive the remuneration of the person it replaces.

Polling Day and Advanced Polling
Main duties
Represent the Returning Officer to all persons involved in the election process. See to the proper conduct of the poll. . Ensure access to the polling stations. See to it that only one elector at a time is admitted to a polling station. Supervise and evaluate the election officers within the polling place. Address any question or problem and inform the Returning Officer of any situation requiring his intervention. Ensure that only persons authorized to be present at the polling station are on the premises at closing time. Ensure that, at the end of the day of the advance poll and of the polling day, the Deputy Returning Officers deliver to the Returning Officer the documents relating to the polling results. Act as member of the Identity Verification Panel.

Main duties
See to the arrangement of the polling station. Ensure that polling proceedings are properly conducted and maintain order in his polling station. Facilitate the exercise of the right to vote and ensure the secrecy of the vote. Receive the identification produced by electors. Hand the elector the ballot papers. Proceed with the counting of the votes. Transmit the result of the vote and remit the ballot box the Officer in Charge of a polling place.

Main duties
See to the enforcement of the law pertaining to electoral signs. Take the necessary measures if a sign does not comply with the law and inform the Returning Officer of any situation requiring his intervention. Supervise the activities outside and at the entrance of the polling place and see to the enforcement of the instructions given by the Returning Officer. Accompany the Returning Officer and the election secretary during visits at polling places.
