Home renovation grant

The City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, as part of an agreement signed with the Société d’habitation du Québec, invites its residents to take advantage of home improvement programs. Eligibility for these programs is evaluated according to specific criteria.

Residential adaptation assistance program (RAAP)

The program is geared towards handicapped persons living in a residential unit that must be modified or adapted. This program provides financial assistance to the owners of a dwelling occupied by a person with a disability so that the adaptation work can be carried out.

Any disabled person who is limited in carrying out their everyday activities at home can benefit from the program. Eligible work must promote the disabled person’s autonomy. The maximum financial assistance is $50,000.

Residents wishing to apply for the program must complete a registration form available from their Local Community Services Centre (CLSC).

More information is available on the Société d’habitation du Québec.

Québec Renovation Program

Please note that due to the fact that the number of applications received exceeds the available budget, no new applications for financial assistance under the Québec Renovation Program will be accepted as of February 20, 2024, until new budgets become available.

The purpose of this program is to stimulate the revitalization of certain targeted sectors of the City whose residential vocation is in decline and whose rental buildings, with four (4) or more units, require public intervention to promote their development and maintain their affordability.

You may be eligible for financial assistance if you own a residential rental building with four (4) or more units, over 30 years old, and located within one of the sectors designated by the program.

Eligible owners are invited to complete the Application Form. Specific eligibility criteria apply to the program.

For more information, consult By-law no. R-2023-181 regarding the Québec Renovation Program of the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux.  You will find the map of eligible sectors in Appendix A of the by-law
