25th anniversary of International Day!
Every year, we celebrate the cultural diversity of the people who make up the beautiful community of Dollard-des-Ormeaux. To mark the 25th anniversary of this very special day, we’re going back to our roots, to the place where the event was first held. This year, we welcome you to Dollard-des-Ormeaux Park!
Join us for this spectacular celebration and discover the different cultures that make up our great community. This year’s highlights include the addition of an activity zone featuring inflatable games, art activities, free play, mosaic creation, dance demonstrations, sports activities, a rally and even more surprises!
The event kicks off with live performances from China, Egypt, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Poland and Sri Lanka. Once the shows are over, you’ll be invited to sample small appetizer-style bites prepared and offered free of charge by volunteers from the cultural associations. In the spirit of eco-responsibility, don’t forget to bring your fork and spoon! There will also be food for sale from a food truck (BeaverTails), as well as a sugar shack kiosk!
An eco-responsible event!
This year, we’re making a major shift toward waste reduction. No utensils will be given out with the appetizers offered at the kiosks. Please bring your own reusable or biodegradable utensils. As with all our events, don’t forget your reusable water bottle, which you can refill at our portable water station.
