Holiday Magic at the Civic Centre

The Civic Centre is about to be transformed into an enchanted place to celebrate the start of the holiday season! Come and discover this new event that will quickly become a must for your family.

A wide range of activities for young and old alike will be offered throughout the Civic Centre by various associations, the library and the City’s Sports, Leisure and Culture Department.

All our activities are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Photo with Santa: Immortalize a precious moment by posing with Santa in the library’s outdoor garden. Photos will be taken on a self-service basis, without reservation, with your cell phone or camera. This activity is likely to be popular, so please allow time for waiting.

Santa letter-writing workshop: Come and visit the children’s section of the library where you can write to Santa. We’ve got everything you need to send him a letter or a drawing. We’ll make sure all messages get to the North Pole.

Christmas movie in the theater: Sit back and enjoy a Christmas classic in our theater.

Free skating: Put on your skates and enjoy a free skating session on the beautiful ice of our arenas (a fee will apply).

Craft workshop: Make a decoration for your Christmas tree.

Elsa and Olaf mascots: Meet your favorite characters from “The Snow Queen” and take photos with Elsa and Olaf.

WINTER DISCOVERY CHALLENGE with GoDDO: As you travel through our Holiday event at the DDO Civic Centre, GoDDO will present you with a Discovery Challenge to complete during your adventure! Simply head over to the Aquatic Center to get your challenge card and get started! Be sure to get your stamps at each activity station and try to complete all the challenges! Don’t forget that prizes will be waiting for you at the end. Stations will be open all day, and participants can start at any time. We look forward to celebrating the holiday season with you all!

– Come and decorate holiday cookies with us: Add a touch of fun and share the magic of the holidays with the DDO Seniors Club and our amazing volunteers! Join us for a festive cookie decorating activity. Bring your creativity-a ton of fun awaits you! While quantities last.

In addition to these festivities, the West Island Assistance Fund will be on hand to collect non-perishable food items. We encourage you to be generous and help families in need this holiday season.

To help you make the most of this magical day, please consult the detailed schedule and map showing the location of each activity. We look forward to welcoming you for a day filled with joy and magic!

*Parking: Additional parking will be available at DDO Park.

A real commitment to a sustainable future!
