Notice of assessment
Every three years, a new property assessment roll is prepared by the City of Montreal’s Direction de l’évaluation foncière for the 16 municipalities of the Montréal Agglomeration, which includes Dollard-des-Ormeaux. Property assessment notices for the 2026-2027-2028 period were mailed out in November 2025.
What is an Notice of assessment?
The Notice of assessment is not an invoice. It is a document which contains important information for the owner about thier property.
The value listed on the roll corresponds to the property’s actual market value — the most probable price on an open and competitive market — based on market conditions as of July 1, 2024. Unless changes are made to the property, this value will remain the same for the three years of the roll.
What should I do with the Notice of assessment?
No action is required, unless you have questions about your assessment or if the information presented is inaccurate.
