The Aquatic Center is located in the Civic Center at 12001 De Salaberry Boulevard, corner Lake Road

History

The Aquatic Centre was built during the first phase of the Civic Center. It has been officially open to the public since 1977.

In 1980, the municipality of Dollard-des-Ormeaux recognized the need to create an association to manage the growing number of aquatic programs for its citizens, as well as the citizens of neighbouring cities, and thus the Dollard-des-Ormeaux Aquatic Association (AADDO) was created. The City then allowed a right of use of the facility as well as financial grants to the AADDO.

Structure

The AADDO consists of an administrative council of seven voting members. Four of these seven volunteer members are representatives of our competitive clubs. A fifth, who is independent of any group, is appointed by the City and is responsible for representing the global interests of the Association. The two other members of the council are City employees, generally represented by the Director of the Sports, Recreation and Culture Department and a member of his staff.

The Director of the Aquatic Centre is responsible for managing both the operational and administrative aspects of the pool as well as running all programs and activities at the Centre. The Director acts as coordinator of all activities and supervisor of all employees within the Aquatic Centre. The Director is also the liaison between the Aquatic Centre and the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

Refund and Credit Policy

All requests must be submitted in writing using the form supplied by the Aquatic Centre. If the request is submitted after the start date of the activity, the client will be charged for the services rendered and a penalty. This penalty corresponds to the lowest of the following amounts: $50.00 or 10% of the cost of the services not yet rendered. No cash refunds will be given. All refunds will be applied directly to credit or debit cards. Please allow a delay of up to 10 business days. The AADDO reserves the right to alter or cancel its activities and schedule without prior notice. Activities cancelled due to a force of nature (power outage, snowstorm) or circumstances beyond our control (vomit or fecal accidents) will not be refunded or postponed.
