Lugiglace available during our public skating

The Sports and leisure department has set itself the goal of integrating more inclusive opportunities into the activities it offers. Therefore, we’ve not only added waterproof wheelchairs to our water playgrounds, but also a Lugiglace for use in our arenas . The Lugiglace is a support device for wheelchairs, allowing people in wheelchairs the possibility to skate on the ice with the help of an attendant. The Lugiglace is adaptable to most sizes of wheelchairs and easy to use. It provides an inclusive skating rink experience, to glide across the ice and is designed for accessibility. The participant must be accompanied by a skater to be able to glide around. Whether you’re a child or adult, these chairs are here to make the rink a place for everyone. Join the skating sensation with our inclusive Lugiglace and skate into a world of accessibility, because everyone deserves to feel the chill and thrill of the rink.

Visit the Arenas and skating rinks – Ville de Dollard-des-Ormeaux (ddo.qc.ca) to find out when the public skating program takes place. If you would like to reserve the Lugiglace in advance, or if you have any questions, please contact the sports and leisure department at loisirs@ddo.qc.ca
