Job Description

The City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux is looking for a student who is studying civil engineering at the college or university level and plans to continue their studies in September 2026.

 

Tasks

 

Support for environmental projects

  • Participate in the collection, analysis, and updating of environmental data (residual materials, pilot projects, performance indicators).
  • Contribute to the monitoring of projects in the field, including note-taking, documentation, and report preparation.
  • Support the monitoring of subsidy programs and assist in the preparation of applications.

 

Public awareness and citizen relations

  • Participate in organizing and leading environmental awareness activities.
  • Answer basic questions from citizens about municipal programs (waste management, green initiatives, best practices).
  • Provide support in managing requests and complaints by performing simple follow-ups or preparing preliminary responses.

 

 

Administrative and technical support

 

  • Assist in drafting documents, presentations, communication tools, and informational content.
  • Contribute to the preparation of simple estimates, tracking tables, and working documents.
  • Conduct research on environmental best practices and municipal trends.
  • Collaborate with the green line and other team members on various operational tasks.

Qualifications required

Required qualifications

 

  • Full-time student, CEGEP or university, in environmental studies, biology, or any other related field
  • Bilingualism, French and English (essential)
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel software

 

Employment status

 

Schedule

 

  • From Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • From April 27 to August 28, 2026
  • 35 hours per week
  • Hourly salary $21.16
