Frequently asked questions

Ensemble on verdit, a GRAME initiative, is a residential greening campaign that allows citizens to plant or replace a tree on their property, all at a competitive price! For more information, visit ensembleonverdit.org, or contact the GRAME at ensembleonverdit@grame.org.

First of all, you need to verify that you are eligible to plant that species – in the case of a tree replacement, the City may require you to plant the same species. Second, the species offered on the Ensemble on verdit site are those subsidized by the City. If you want a different species and are allowed to plant it, you can always buy it from a nursery.

The A Tree for my Neighbourhood campaign is another residential greening campaign organized by the Soverdi and the Regroupement des Éco-quartiers. This campaign focuses on the planting of new trees, with an average height of 1.5m, and not on replacement, and works mainly on the territory of the City of Montreal. The Ensemble on verdit campaign includes tree replacement and a variety of sizes for new trees. This new campaign covers the West Island territory and its services will be offered on the following territories :

  • Dollard-des-Ormeaux – replacement and new trees
  • Dorval – replacement
  • Kirkland – replacement
  • Pincourt – replacement

The City is not responsible for delivery or planting. If you have any questions about the delivery service, please contact the GRAME at ensembleonverdit@grame.org or 438.505.8378. You do not need to be present for the planting of your tree, but you must have clearly identified the planting location with a stake or other object and ensure access to the planting site. Upon purchase, you will receive instructions on how to prepare for the GRAME planting.

A real commitment to a sustainable future!
