Holiday Magic at the Civic Centre
Sunday, November 23, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Civic Centre is getting ready to transform into a magical place to celebrate the start of the holiday season, with activities sure to delight both children and adults!
– Photo with Santa: Take a memorable photo with Santa! Capture the moment with your own phone or camera. No reservations are required, but since the activity is expected to be popular, be prepared to wait in line.
– Writing workshop for letters to Santa Claus: Visit the library to write a letter to Santa, or bring your own and drop it in the special mailbox, straight to the North Pole!
– Farm Animals: Project Pace Île-Bizard’s farm will be on site. Say hello to the animals, give them a few pets, and maybe even a little treat!
– Public Skating ($): From 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., lace up your skates and enjoy a skate session in our arena. Cost: $2 for residents and $3 for non-residents, cash only. A protective helmet is mandatory for children 12 and under. This activity is presented in collaboration with the Dollard Hockey Association.
– Arts and crafts workshop: Let your imagination run wild and take home a unique festive creation.
– Hot chocolate: Warm up with a delicious cup of hot chocolate, perfect for enjoying the magical holiday atmosphere.
– Mascots: The Grinch and his elf will be roaming the Civic Centre, ready to steal your gifts… or your hearts, hehe!
– Balloon Sculptor Clown ($): Come get a balloon crafted by your favorite clown. Cost: $5 per balloon, cash only.
– Christmas cookie decorating: Decorate Christmas cookies with the DDO Seniors’ Club and take home some tasty creations!
– Winter chill challenge: Test your skills and have fun with our course full of surprises and challenges for the whole family! This activity is presented in collaboration with Go DDO Initiative.
– Public swim with WIBIT: From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. have fun jumping, sliding, and floating on the inflatable water course for guaranteed fun! This activity is presented in collaboration with AADDO.
– Café Fairplay ($): Relax and enjoy a moment of conviviality at the Café.
– Caricature Artist ($): Take home a unique keepsake! Our caricature artist will be on site to create your humorous portrait for only $10 each, cash only.
Give Back
Alongside the festivities, we will be collecting non-perishable food items for our local community organizations. We encourage you to show your generosity and help families in need during the holiday season.
