Salary range : $89 692 à $128 260

 

Summary description

 

 

The role involves providing support, advice, and guidance to managers on human resources issues, including staffing, labor relations, and occupational health and safety. The person assists various departments un implementing measures tailored to their specific circumstances.

 

The advisor is the go-to person for prevention within a personalized approach, where their main responsibilities include:

 

  1. Analyzing absenteeism files, ensuring follow-up with employees and managers, and external parties (insurance, CNESST, SAAQ, etc..) and implementing best practices to promote recovery.
  2. Keeping the occupational health and safety prevention program up to date and ensuring follow-up
  3. Conducting regular inspections, identifying risks, and coordinating the implementation of corrective measures,
  4. Participating in incident and accident investigations and ensuring through follow-up on corrective actions
  5. Collaborating with existing teams to implement sustainable solutions
  6. Preparing structured meetings with an agenda and leading the occupational health and safety committee to facilitate discussion and encourage the participation of all members. Ensure follow-up to verify that the agreed-upon actions have been carried out
  7. Participate, on occasion, in labor relations committee
  8. Participate, on occasion, in the staff interview and selection process.

Qualifications required

Required qualifications:

 

  • University degree in human resources management, occupational health and safety, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of human resources management in a unionized environment
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and practices
  • Member of the order of human resources management advisors
  • Experience in occupational health and safety audits, both internal and external
  • Ability to analyse complex situations and communicate effectively
  • Autonomy, rigor, analytical skills, and the ability to mane multiple priorities
