Green space abounds with parks of different size located throughout the city. The neighbourhood parks concept provides for a park within one kilometre of each home. Seasonal sports such as swimming, baseball, softball, soccer, football and other sports are organized in most parks, with skating rinks in the winter.
The eleven major parks have chalets which are available free of charge to recognized local clubs and associations for their programs and activities.
To find out if the sports fields are closed due to inclement weather, please call the City's Field Closure Hot-Line at 514-684-1012, extension 345. Despite all efforts to make this information available by 4 p.m. on weekdays and by 8:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekends, unforeseen changes in the weather may result in last minute field closures.

There is an enclosure for dogs to run free.
In the winter, this picturesque decor takes on an enchanted look, inviting the young and the young-at-heart to try cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, skating or sliding down the toboggan hill.
