The City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux awarded the very first Key to the City to Mitch Trapid on June 2, 2026, in recognition of his outstanding commitment to the community.
This distinction highlights Mr. Trapid’s remarkable contribution to the development of community life in Dollard-des-Ormeaux and aims to recognize individuals whose involvement has a lasting impact on the City.
A volunteer and coach for nearly 30 years, Mr. Trapid has dedicated much of his life to the development of young athletes within the community.
He also served as President of the Dollard Hockey Association (DHA) for 22 years, where he played a key role in promoting values such as respect, discipline, teamwork, and confidence among youth.
His community involvement is widely recognized for its consistency, selflessness, and positive impact on several generations of young people and families.
On this occasion, Mr. Trapid also signed the City’s Golden Book, reserved for individuals who have made a significant contribution to civic life.
The City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux warmly thanks Mr. Trapid for his many years of service and pays tribute to his lasting contribution to the community.
